My name is Thaddeus, and I’m the developer of CorridorCommute, a website for people who live in the Eastern Iowa Corridor and travel on the busy roadways here. My hope for CorridorCommute is that it will connect people living in these great communities and allow them to quickly share information about their trips through the corridor.
By employing social networks, email, RSS, and text messaging, we can quickly share information about detours, unexpected accidents, snow and ice conditions, etc. With this information, we can choose alternate routes when roads are bad or an accident has happened.
In the years I’ve been commuting, I’ve often wished for a way to ask people ahead of me what’s going on, or find out if I should plan to take an earlier exit. With CorridorCommute, users can be connected and find out what’s up ahead.
I enjoy hearing from users of this site, and would greatly appreciate feedback. Please e-mail me at corridorcommute@gmail.com with any questions or comments you have.
Please drive safely!
